Breaking News: Houston, TX Steroid Bust

Houston, TX- On the morning of Wednesday, May 27, 2009 several dozen Houston men and women were taken into custody and several suspects are still being sought.  Beginning at 4:30 am this morning, arrests took place in California, Texas and Georgia, and early reports from within the DEA indicate that 53 people were charged with various crimes involving the importation and interstate trafficking of anabolic steroids, hydrocodone, Viagra, and growth Hormone. .  The investigation is being led by the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Agency, in cooperation with the FDA and IRS. There are currently have 53 suspects in custody. This is likely to be one of the largest busts this area of Texas has ever seen.  Expect updates as this situation progresses.
